HISTORY OF
FINCA LA CONCERTISTA

You may be wondering about the reason for our name.

This house was owned by Evelyne Dubourg (Paris 26.03.1929 – Sitges 03.01.2024), a renowned French pianist and daughter of art dealer Jacques Dubourg.

Her parents met in Paris during a gathering of the upper bourgeoisie. Evelyne began playing the piano at age 5 thanks to her grandmother, Anne Archibald.

Pablo Picasso, Pierre Bonnard, Nicolas de Staël, Coco Chanel, and Apel·les Fenosa were all present in Evelyne's life and were close friends of the family. In fact, the Fenosa Museum in El Vendrell houses a bust of Evelyne.

It should be noted that Evelyne performed concerts all over the world, but it was at this summer house where she gave numerous free piano concerts with great success. For this reason, she donated her grand pianos and violins during her lifetime; one of her pianos is in the council chamber of the Llorenç del Penedès Town Hall.

The locals still know this house as "the pianist's house," and as music lovers, we wanted to pay tribute to it and preserve part of its history by naming this property La Concertista .

THE TEAM

Finca La Concertista was born from the dream of creating a versatile, welcoming, and truly Mediterranean retreat—a place where guests can reconnect with nature, unwind, and enjoy life's simple pleasures.

With over 25 years of experience in hospitality and events through ESKISIT Catering, we had always envisioned finding a unique setting where we could bring our own project to life.

In 2020, Cristina Romero and Cristina Rodríguez began the search for that special place. A year later, we discovered this beautiful estate, then known as “El Xiprès.” Its cypress trees, olive groves, and the charm of its surroundings captured our hearts from the very first visit. We immediately saw its potential to become something truly special.

With great enthusiasm and dedication, we acquired the property in 2021 and began an exciting journey of restoration and improvement, always respecting the character and natural beauty of the estate.

In 2024, Diego Benítez joined the team as Operations Director, bringing new energy and vision to the project as we continued to develop and enhance the guest experience.

Finca La Concertista is a living project that continues to evolve. Since the beginning, we have worked to improve the property, expand its facilities, and create a place where comfort, authenticity, and meaningful experiences come together.

While there is still much we hope to accomplish, we are delighted to open the doors of our home and share this special place with guests from around the world.

Welcome to Finca La Concertista, and thank you for being part of our journey.
